Abstract

Liquid sample supply device for an automatic analysis apparatus has a mechanism for moving one or more suction tubes into and out of liquid containers, a switch mechanism for moving another container towards the suction mechanism when the tube is out of a container, and a measuring and control unit for determining the duration of suction by the suction mechanism at a fixed valve so that a constant, but adjustable sample volume is taken by the suction mechanism. Enables accurate, controlled liquid sampling to be obtained. Analyses can be carried out rapidly with high degree of reproducability.
