Abstract

A WICKER REPAIR TOOL (11) LANDS ON A CASING HANGER (55) WITHIN A WELLHEAD (57). THE WICKER REPAIR TOOL (11) ENGAGES CUTTERS (39) WITH THE INNER DIAMETER OF THE WELLHEAD (57) AND ROTATES TO REFORM WICKERS (58) IN THE WELLHEAD (57). THE WICKER REPAIR TOOL (11) INCLUDES A TUBULAR MEMBER (13) HAVING AN UPPER END (21) THAT COUPLES TO A TUBING STRING. A TUBULAR TOOL HEAD (19) IS FORMED ON A LOWER END OF THE TUBULAR MEMBER (13). AT LEAST ONE CUTTER (39) IS COUPLED TO THE TOOL HEAD (19) AND IS RADIALLY MOVEABLE BETWEEN AN ENGAGED AND A DISENGAGED POSITION. THE CUTTERS (39) ARE ADAPTED TO ENGAGE AN INNER DIAMETER SURFACE OF A WELLHEAD (57) SO THAT ROTATION OF THE TOOL HEAD (19) RELATIVE TO THE WELLHEAD (57) WILL REFORM THE WICKERS (58).
