Un procedimiento para producir una moldura espumada, en donde las perlas de una resina basada en polipropileno, sustancialmente no reticuladas, se calientan en un molde para unir por fusion las perlas en un cuerpo unitario; cada una de las perlas expandidas se ha modificado superficialmente con un peroxido organico.
