Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo para afinar el grano de acero. Una aleacion afinadora del grano teniendo una composicion FeXY, donde X es uno o mas elementos seleccionados del grupo que consiste en: Cr, Mn, Si, Ni y Mo, y donde Y es uno o mas elementos formadores de oxido y/o sulfuro y/o nitruro y/o carburo seleccionados del grupo que consiste en: Ce, La, Nd, Pr, Ti, Al, Zr, Ca, Ba, Sr, Mg, C y N, donde X es entre 0.001 y 99% en peso, con base en el peso de la aleacion, y donde Y es entre 0.001 y 50% en peso de la aleacion, la aleacion ademas conteniendo entre 0.001 y 2% en peso de oxigeno y/o entre 0.001 y 2% en peso de azufre, la aleacion conteniendo cuando menos 103 particulas de inclusion por mm3 consistentes en oxidos y/o sulfuros y/o nitruros y/o carburos de uno o mas de los elementos Y y/o uno o mas de los elementos X Cr, Mn y Si, ademas de Fe, las particulas de inclusion teniendo un diametro promedio menor que 10 ¦m, se adiciona al acero fundido en una cantidad de entre 0.01 y 5% en peso, con base en el peso del acero, despues de que se cuela el acero. La invencion ademas se refiere a una aleacion afinadora de grano para acero y a un metodo para producir aleaciones afinadoras del grano.
