Abstract
La presente invencion se relaciona con clases novedosas de compuestos los cuales son inhibidores de la enzima que convierte la interleucina-1 beta. Esta invencion también se relaciona con composiciones farmacéuticas que comprenden estos compuestos. Los compuestos y composiciones farmacéuticas de esta invencion son particularmente muy adecuados para inhibir la actividad de la ICE y por consiguiente, pueden ser ventajosamente utilizados como agentes contra la enfermedad mediada con interleucina-1 y apoptosis, incluyendo enfermedades inflamatorias, enfermedades autoinmunes, enfermedades proliferativas, infecciosas y degenerativas. Esta invencion también se relaciona con métodos para inhibir la actividad de la ICE y métodos para tratar enfermedades mediadas con interleucina-1 utilizando los compuestos y composiciones de esta invencion.
