Abstract
La enfermedad inflamatoria del intestino, especialmente la enfermedad de Crohn y la colitis ulcerativa, es tratada mediante la administracion de una forma de dosis oral, que contiene como un principio activo un ácido 3-omega-poliinsaturado en forma de ácido libre, o como una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo, la cual libera el ácido en el íleon. Preferentemente, la forma de dosis oral es una cápsula de gelatina recubierta con un poli(etilacrilato-metilmetacrilato).
