Abstract

Un sistema de antena de doble hélice (10) comprendido de conductores de hélice de enrollado helicoidal. La antena de doble hélice (10) incluye un primer conductor de hélice (14) enrollado en una primera direccion alrededor de un eje vertical, V, de la antena de doble hélice (10). Un segundo conductor de hélice (18) está enrollado en una segunda direccion alrededor del eje vertical, V. En una implementacion específica, el primero y el segundo conductores de hélice (14 y 18) son de diferentes longitudes, que respectivamente corresponden a una primera y una segunda bandas de frecuencia. Adicionalmente, el primero y el segundo conductores de hélice (14 y 18) se enrollan a fin de quedar ortogonales respecto a los planos horizontales dentro de los cuales el primero y el segundo conductores de hélice (14 y 18) se intersectan o bien se encuentran separados en forma mínima en la dimension horizontal. Esta relacion de enrollado ortogonal entre los conductores de hélice reduce considerablemente el acoplamiento mutuo, permitiendo así la operacion de antenas helicoidales separadas en proximidad física estrecha.
