Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un proceso para producir una capa protectora metálica por medio del cual un enchapado, revestimiento, pintura u otro recubrimiento que contiene un metal, es aplicada al menos a una porcion de un sistema del reactor y luego se pone en contacto con una corriente gaseosa que contiene hidrocarburos, tales como el hidrogeno impuro, por lo cual se produce una capa protectora metálica continua y adherente. La corriente gaseosa comprende preferiblemente hidrogeno, el cual puede ser reciclado. Una modalidad preferida de la invencion está dirigida a procedimientos de retoque en donde una porcion de un sistema de reactor ya protegido está remplazada o resoldada, y la capa protectora es formada cuando la porcion remplazada es llevada en operacion.
