Abstract
Se describe un procedimiento para fabricar una sal de ácido carboxílico en donde se pone en contacto una solucion acuosa de un alcohol primario con un hidroxido base en presencia de una cantidad efectiva de un catalizador que consiste esencialmente de un soporte resistente a álcali, de aproximadamente 0.05% en su peso en peso aproximadamente 10% en peso, en base al peso total del catalizador, de un metal de anclaje seleccionado del grupo que consiste de platino, paladio, rutenio, oro, y entre aproximadamente 1% en peso y aproximadamente 50% en peso, en base al peso total del catalizador, de un elemento seleccionado del grupo que consiste de cobre, cobalto, níquel y cadmio combinado con el metal de anclaje.
