Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición para prevenir el deterioro por hongos en frutas, hortalizas y flores tras la cosecha, así como a un método y uso de la misma. La composición de la presente invención comprende beta-ciclocitral (ß-ciclocitral) como único principio activo que inhibe o retrasa el crecimiento de hongos en frutas, hortalizas y flores tras la cosecha, y proporciona excelentes resultados en la conservación y periodo de validez de estos productos. Además, el método para prevenir el deterioro por hongos en frutas, hortalizas y flores tras la cosecha de la presente invención, comprende la aplicación de la composición a través de diferentes medios o técnicas directamente sobre los productos o sobre la superficie del recipiente o empaque.
