Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un método para modular el contenido de alcaloides de una planta (por ejemplo, una planta de tabaco), el método que comprende modificar dicha planta mediante la modulación de la actividad o expresión de un citocromo P450 de CYP94. La presente invención también proporciona el uso de un citocromo P450 de CYP94 para modular el contenido de alcaloides de una planta, así como células de tabaco, plantas, materiales de propagación vegetativas, hojas cosechadas, tabacos procesados o productos del tabaco obtenibles de acuerdo con la invención.
