Abstract

La presente descripción se refiere a composiciones de vacuna que comprenden conjugados de polisacárido neumocócico-proteína portadora. La presente descripción se refiere en particular a composiciones de vacuna de conjugado de polisacárido de Streptococcus pneumoniae-proteína multivalentes, inmunógenas, estables, mejoradas que tienen por lo menos tres distintas proteínas portadoras, la preparación de las composiciones de vacuna y métodos para la prevención y/o el tratamiento de sujetos con Streptococcus pneumoniae. Estas composiciones neumocócicas multivalentes superarán la supresión epitópica inducida por portadores, proporcionarán una respuesta inmune mejorada para nuevos serotipos (en comparación con las vacunas aprobadas existentes) y también ayudarán a abordar la emergencia de serotipos que no son de vacuna.
