Abstract
El deterioro de los catalizadores de síntesis de metanol que es causado por el envenenamiento por hierro del catalizador se contrarresta mediante el uso de un catalizador que contiene un máximo de 100 ppmp de Fe en el proceso de síntesis. El método es especialmente útil en una planta de síntesis de metanol que comprende un compresor de gas de reposición y un reactor de síntesis en un circuito de metanol con un pre-convertidor de paso único instalado entre el compresor de gas de reposición y el circuito de metanol.
