Abstract

Se proporcionan componentes y estructuras para una celda electroquímica recargable y una celda electroquímica que tiene un electrolito basado en un disolvente SO2, que comprende cualquiera de dichos componentes y estructuras. El cátodo puede comprender uno o más metales de transición elementales y/o uno o más metales de transición parcialmente oxidados. El electrolito basado en un disolvente SO2 puede comprender un aditivo de sal que contiene haluros como un aditivo formador de SEI. El colector de corriente anódica puede comprender un metal revestido de carbono, una aleación de dos o más metales o una aleación revestida de carbono de dos o más metales. La celda electroquímica puede comprender exceso de haluros alcalinos sólidos/no disueltos. Los componentes, las estructuras y la celda pueden utilizarse en un dispositivo.
