Abstract
Un proceso para reducir la permeabilidad al agua de una zona ladrona de un yacimiento de petróleo subterráneo poroso y permeable inyectando una dispersión de micropartículas poliméricas en un fluido acuoso por un pozo y dentro de la zona ladrona, en donde las micropartículas poliméricas comprenden cadenas de co-polímero reticulado que tienen cadenas estructurales de co-polímero unidades derivadas de (i) un monómero soluble en agua o dispersable en agua con un grupo betaína, (ii) un monómero insoluble en agua y (iii) un monómero reticulante que tiene al menos dos sitios de insaturación etilénica, y el las micropartículas poliméricas tienen una temperatura de transición superior a la temperatura máxima encontrada en el pozo y por debajo de la temperatura máxima encontrada en la zona ladrona y, y las micropartículas poliméricas se expanden en tamaño en la zona ladrona cuando encuentran una temperatura igual o mayor que la transición temperatura para reducir la permeabilidad de la zona ladrona al agua.
