Abstract
En la presente se proporciona un artículo catalítico que incluye un recubrimiento catalítico dispuesto sobre un sustrato, en donde el recubrimiento catalítico comprende un recubrimiento inferior sobre el substrato y una capa de recubrimiento superior sobre la capa de recubrimiento inferior, dicha capa de recubrimiento contiene un metal del grupo del platino sobre un soporte de óxido de metal refractario y la otra capa de recubrimiento contiene un tamiz molecular que contiene cerio. Dichos artículos catalíticos son efectivos para tratar corrientes de gases de escape de motores de combustión interna y exhiben una resistencia excepcional al azufre.
