Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un sistema y método para separar componentes de partículas sólidas de un fluido. La invención utiliza una nueva combinación de filtración mecánica, decantación de sólidos y fuerzas reales e imaginarias. La invención comprende un recipiente esférico con una entrada tangencial para introducir el fluido y una salida de fluido y un filtro dispuesto en la línea central del interior del recipiente. La combinación de fluido presurizado y partículas sólidas entran a la invención en la entrada tangencial y se moverán principalmente en una trayectoria circular alrededor del interior del recipiente. La trayectoria de la mezcla de fluido y partículas sólidas en una trayectoria circular causará que las partículas de masa más grande se asienten en la región inferior del recipiente. Las partículas menos masivas pueden arrastrarse en el flujo de fluido saliente hacia un elemento de filtro en donde se eliminarán del fluido saliente.
