Abstract

Se proporciona un método llevado a cabo por un nodo de red para configurar un protocolo de convergencia de datos en paquetes (PDCP) para un dispositivo inalámbrico en una red de comunicaciones. La red de comunicaciones comprende un primer tipo de red central y un segundo tipo de red central. El nodo de red decide (801) si el nodo de red es un nodo maestro o un nodo secundario para el dispositivo inalámbrico. Cuando el nodo de red es un nodo maestro, configura (803) el PDCP para el dispositivo inalámbrico en función de a cuál del primer y segundo tipos de red central se conecta el dispositivo inalámbrico. Cuando el nodo de red en un nodo secundario, configura (804) el PDCP para el dispositivo inalámbrico 120 en función de cualesquiera uno o más de: a cuál del primer y segundo tipos de nodo maestro se conecta el nodo de red, y a cuál del primer y segundo tipos de red central se conecta el dispositivo inalámbrico. El primer tipo y el segundo tipo se refieren a diferentes generaciones de redes de telecomunicaciones.
