Abstract

Se describen usos de al menos una alfa-1,4/1,6-glucósido hidrolasa (GLCH) como aditivo alimentario para un rumiante, en donde la hidrolasa: (a) tiene al menos un 20% de actividad a un pH menor o igual a 3 en presencia de pepsina en comparación con la actividad de la hidrolasa a pH 6 en presencia de pepsina, (b) la hidrolasa es activa en al menos dos de las tres cámaras digestivas de un rumiante que comprenden un rumen, un abomaso y un intestino delgado y (c) la hidrolasa funciona con la amilasa pancreática para aumentar la producción de glucosa.
