Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un método para preparar a-olefinas mediante oligomerización de ?2-?4 olefinas; el método se lleva a cabo mediante oligomerización de C2-C4 olefinas en la presencia de un sistema de catalizador comprendiendo una fuente de metal de transición, un activador, el cual es un alquilaluminoxano y un compuesto de fórmula (I), Ar1Ar2P-N(R)-PAr3Ar4 [fórmula I], en donde Ar1-4 son los mismos o diferentes y se seleccionan de C6-C10 arilo no sustituido y sustituido, R se selecciona de C1-C4 alquilo lineal o ramificado, C6-C10 arilo sustituido o no sustituido, y C3-C10 cicloalquilo sustituido o no sustituido, en donde la oligomerización se lleva a cabo en un solvente, el cual es un compuesto bicíclico o una mezcla de compuestos bicíclicos, preferiblemente decalina; el método reclamado provee un incremento significativo en la actividad del catalizador durante el proceso de oligomerización y como una consecuencia, una reducción en el consumo de unidad de catalizador, así como una reducción en la formación del subproducto de polímero.
