Abstract
Un medio filtrante que tiene carbón activado derivado de lignito, ácido poliacrílico (PAA), una aleación de cobre-zinc comercialmente disponible y cloruro de polidialildimetilamonio (PoIyDADMAC) o Luviquat(r), que es poli [cloruro de 3-metil-1-vinilimidazolio)-co-(1-vinilpirrolidona)], combinada y utilizada como reemplazo adecuado para carbón bituminoso TOG a base de carbón TOG, plata y PoIyDADMAC. Los grupos funcionales en el carbón activado basado en lignito interactúan con el ácido poliacrílico. Los grupos funcionales, como el calcio, el hierro o el óxido/hidróxido de aluminio del carbón activado a base de lignito, interactúan con el PAA y ayudan a mantener el PoIyDADMAC en su lugar. La presencia adicional de una aleación de cobre-zinc mejora el rendimiento antimicrobiológico del filtro.
