Abstract
Se proporciona un método para producir más eficientemente el óxido de propileno, específicamente, un método para producir óxido de propileno que comprende: 1) una etapa de oxidación, 2) una etapa de epoxidación, 3) una etapa de separación, 4) una etapa de conversión de cumeno, y 5) una etapa de recuperación del cumeno, en donde al menos una parte de una mezcla que contiene cumeno y cimeno que va a ser suministrada a la etapa de oxidación es una mezcla de recuperación que contiene cumeno y cimeno obtenida en la etapa de recuperación de cumeno. La etapa de recuperación de cumeno es una etapa para obtener una mezcla de recuperación que contiene cumeno y cimeno con una concentración del cimeno de 100 ppm en peso o más y menos de 10000 ppm en peso (la concentración del cimeno se calcula en función del peso de la mezcla de recuperación que contiene cumeno y cimeno obtenida en la etapa de recuperación de cumeno) mediante la destilación de la mezcla de reacción que contiene el cumeno obtenida en la etapa de conversión del cumeno.
