Abstract
La invención se refiere a un proceso para la producción de etileno a partir de etano, que comprende: someter una corriente que comprende etano a condiciones de craqueo a vapor en una unidad de craqueo a vapor que forma parte de una configuración de craqueo a vapor, lo que da como resultado una corriente que comprende etano, etileno e hidrogeno sin convertir; alimentar una corriente que comprende etano, etileno e hidrogeno sin convertir a una unidad de separación que forma parte de la configuración de craqueo a vapor, y separar la corriente en la unidad de separación en una corriente que comprende hidrogeno y una corriente que comprende etano y etileno sin convertir; alimentar una corriente que comprende etano y etileno sin convertir a una unidad de separación C2 que forma parte de la configuración de craqueo a vapor, y separar la corriente en la unidad de separación C2 en una corriente que comprende etileno y una corriente que comprende etano sin convertir; opcionalmente, reciclar etano sin convertir de la corriente que comprende etano sin convertir que proviene de la unidad de separación C2 a la unidad de craqueo a vapor; someter una corriente que comprende etano a condiciones de deshidrogenación oxidativa (ODH) en una unidad de ODH que es parte de una configuración de ODH, lo que da como resultado una corriente que comprende etano, etileno y agua sin convertir; alimentar una corriente que comprende etano, etileno y agua sin convertir a una unidad de condensación de agua que forma parte de la configuración de ODH, y eliminar el agua de la corriente mediante condensación en la unidad de condensación de agua, lo que da como resultado una corriente que comprende etano y etileno sin convertir; alimentar un efluente procedente de la configuración de ODH, cuyo efluente comprende etano y etileno sin convertir, a la configuración de craqueo a vapor; opcionalmente, reciclar etano sin convertir de la corriente que comprende etano sin convertir que proviene de la unidad de separación C2 a la unidad de ODH.
