Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un sistema de transporte de personas (1) y con un método para la modernización de un sistema de transporte de personas existente. El sistema de transporte de personas comprende varias unidades de peldaño (17), una placa de peine (27), un dispositivo de monitoreo (49) y un dispositivo de marcación (45). Las unidades de peldaño se pueden desplazar en una operación normal moviéndose una tras otra a lo largo de un camino de desplazamiento (29) teórico. La placa de peine está dispuesta en una posición fija relativo al camino de desplazamiento teórico. El dispositivo de monitoreo está configurado para monitorear una posición real de una unidad de peldaño actualmente monitoreada relativo al camino de desplazamiento teórico y para detectar una desviación de la posición real del camino de desplazamiento teórico en más de un valor de tolerancia admisible y activar en consecuencia el dispositivo de marcación. El dispositivo de marcación está configurado para proveer en su activación la unidad de peldaño actualmente monitoreada y/o una unidad de peldaño que está en una correlación espacial definida con la unidad de peldaño actualmente monitoreada con una marcación (57). Se pueden evitar de esta manera, por una parte, las colisiones entre una unidad de peldaño y la placa de peine, y por otra parte, el personal de mantenimiento puede detectar rápida y fácilmente las unidades de peldaño en riesgo de colisión con la ayuda de la marcación aplicada en ellas por el dispositivo de marcación.
