Abstract
La invención se refiere a una unidad vaporizadora para un sistema generador de aerosol. La unidad vaporizadora comprende un elemento capilar (2), que está hecho de vidrio poroso. El elemento capilar tiene un primer extremo (4) y un segundo extremo (6). La unidad vaporizadora comprende además un elemento calentador (8). El primer extremo del elemento capilar se configura para conectarse fluidamente a una porción de almacenamiento de líquido (10). El elemento calentador se proporciona en el segundo extremo del elemento capilar. El tamaño de los poros del elemento capilar se configura para permitir que un sustrato líquido formador de aerosol de la porción de almacenamiento de líquido se transporte desde el primer extremo del elemento capilar hasta el segundo extremo del elemento capilar por acción capilar. El tamaño promedio de los poros del elemento capilar varía de los poros grandes en el primer extremo del elemento capilar a los poros pequeños en el segundo extremo del elemento capilar de manera que se proporciona un gradiente de tamaño de los poros desde el primer extremo del elemento capilar hasta el segundo extremo del elemento capilar.
