Abstract
Un método de particionamiento en codificación de video para JVET, que comprende representar una unidad de árbol de codificación JVET como un nodo raíz en una estructura de árbol cuaternario más árbol binario (QTBT) que puede tener particionamiento de árbol cuaternario o binario del nodo raíz y ramificación de árboles binarios o árboles cuaternarios de cada uno de los nodos hoja. El particionamiento en cualquier profundidad puede utilizar particionamiento binario asimétrico para dividir un nodo secundario representado por un nodo hoja en dos unidades de codificación secundarias de tamaño desigual, que representa las dos unidades de codificación secundarias como nodos hoja en una ramificación de árbol binario desde el nodo hoja principal y la codificación de las unidades de codificación secundarias representadas por nodos hoja finales del árbol binario con JVET. Se divulga un método generalizado de particionamiento de un bloque, ya sea cuadrado o rectangular, que conduce a tamaños de bloque más flexibles con una posible mayor eficiencia de codificación.
