Abstract

Un método para particionar un bloque de codificación de video para JVET, que comprende representar una unidad de árbol de codificación JVET como un nodo raíz en una estructura de árbol cuaternario más binario (QTBT) que puede tener una ramificación cuaternaria desde el nodo raíz y árboles binarios ramificando desde cada uno de los nodos de hoja de árbol cuaternario que usan particiones binarias asimétricas para dividir una unidad de codificación representada por un nodo de hoja de árbol cuaternario en dos nodos secundarios de tamaño desigual, representando los dos nodos secundarios como nodos de hoja en un árbol binario que se ramifica desde el nodo de hoja de árbol cuaternario y codificando los nodos secundarios representados por nodos de hoja del árbol binario con JVET, en donde la eficiencia de codificación se mejora aprovechando la similitud de los modos de codificación 2 y 66.
