Abstract
Se provee una composición de poliuretano. La composición de poliuretano incluye una primera parte de un primer óxido de politetrametileno, un segundo óxido de politetrametileno y un poliol a base de aceite de ricino. El segundo óxido de politetrametileno tiene una viscosidad más alta que el primer óxido de politetrametileno. La composición de poliuretano también incluye una segunda parte de metileno difenil diisocianato. También se provee un conjunto de cable de fibra óptica que incorpora la composición de poliuretano como un sobremolde. El sobremolde tiene una temperatura de transición vítrea inferior a -40°C medida de acuerdo con calorimetría diferencial de barrido. Además, se provee un método para aplicar un sobremolde a un conjunto de cable de fibra óptica.
