Abstract
Un método para imprimir un objeto de color tridimensional que tiene una superficie contorneada sobre un sustrato incluye imprimir capas de tinta de color y capas de tinta estructurales. Se imprime una capa de tinta de color sobre el sustrato. Las capas de tinta estructural se imprimen en la capa de tinta de color para construir la forma tridimensional del objeto. La superficie contorneada se forma al variar las alturas de las columnas de pixeles en la información de impresión. Las alturas de las columnas de pixeles pueden variarse imprimiendo diferentes números de capas en columnas adyacentes o imprimiendo el mismo número de capas en columnas adyacentes donde algunos pixeles de una columna tienen grosores diferentes a otros pixeles de la columna.
