Abstract
En algunas modalidades, se proporcionan aparatos y métodos en la presente útiles para transportar contenedores utilizando una plataforma rodante autónoma. Algunas de estas modalidades incluyen sistema para transportar contenedores a lo largo de trayectorias de entrega que comprende: una plataforma rodante autónoma que tiene un micro-controlador y una porción de sopor te configurada para llevar una pluralidad de contenedores; un dispositivo móvil con un micro-controlador en 10 comunicación con el micro~controlador de la plataforma rodante; y uno o más sensores en comunicación con el dispositivo móvil, uno o más sensores y el dispositivo móvil configurados para triangular la ubicación del dispositivo móvil; en donde el micro-controlador de la plataforma rodante se configura para recibir información de rastreo desde el micro-controlador de dispositivo móvil y para provocar que la plataforma rodante siga al dispositivo móvil a lo largo de una trayectoria de entrega definida por el movimiento del dispositivo móvil desde un punto de partida hasta un punto de llegada.
