Abstract

Se describe un sistema y un método para el mapeo de una tienda de venta al menudeo. El sistema registra las marcas de tiempo y los datos de captura como son escaneo de código de barras a partir de una pluralidad de dispositivos de computación móviles, como los dispositivos de computación móviles son transportados por empleados o clientes entre una pluralidad de ubicaciones en una tienda de venta al menudeo. Las marcas de tiempo y los datos capturados se utilizan para calcular distancias entre los lugares de productos asociados con cada una de las capturas de datos. Las distancias y posiciones se registran en un mapa de la tienda de venta al menudeo. El sistema también puede recopilar datos de las distancias en pasos a partir de los dispositivos informáticos móviles y utilizar los datos para actualizar y refinar los cálculos de distancia.
