Abstract
En un proceso para la producción de amoníaco en por lo menos dos sistemas de reacción, en los cuales se produce amoníaco a partir de una porción del gas de síntesis en cada uno de los sistemas, en donde una corriente parcial es retirada, el gas de reposición está esencialmente libre de componentes inertes, el sistema corriente abajo está a la misma presión o a una presión más alta que el sistema corriente arriba y el gas de reposición es enviado una vez a través de una unidad convertidora de gas de reposición (MUG), el gas de síntesis residual que viene de la unidad convertidora de MUG es presurizado opcionalmente a una presión más alta antes de ser enviado a un circuito de síntesis libre de componentes inertes. De esta manera, una producción económicamente atractiva de amoníaco es factible con gases de síntesis que no contienen componentes inertes.
