Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para la purificación de ácidos alcanosulfónicos, que comprende los pasos de: (a) la destilación de una masa fundida, que comprende ácido alcanosulfónico crudo (1) para separar por completo o en parte los constituyentes de bajo punto de ebullición, en donde los constituyentes de bajo punto de ebullición se extraen en la parte superior de una columna de destilación (3) o de un dispositivo de evaporación de una sola etapa y un flujo de material (7) que contiene ácido alcanosulfónico, constituyentes de alto punto de ebullición y constituyentes de bajo punto de ebullición residuales se elimina en la parte inferior de la columna de destilación (3) o del aparato de evaporación de una sola etapa, (b) el suministro del flujo (7) que contiene ácido alcanosulfónico, constituyentes de alto punto de ebullición, y constituyentes de bajo punto de ebullición residuales como una masa fundida a un proceso de cristalización por fusión (9) en el que cristales del ácido alcanosulfónico, de hidratos del ácido alcanosulfónico o de una mezcla de ambos se forman en el licor madre de una manera suspendida, (c) la puesta en práctica de una separación de sólido-líquido para separar los cristales del licor madre, y (d) el lavado opcional de los cristales para eliminar el licor madre adherido a los cristales.
