Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a materiales compuestos que comprenden una matriz porosa grafítica fibrosa que contiene mesoporos con un tamaño promedio de entre 2 y 50 nm, y microporos con un tamaño promedio por debajo de 2 nm, y azufre elemental colocado en los poros de la matriz porosa. La invención también se refiere a procedimientos para preparar el material compuesto incluyendo métodos físicos y químicos así como métodos mecánicos usando condiciones en seco y en húmedo. Los materiales compuestos descritos son particularmente útiles en electrodos para baterías de litio y azufre.
