Abstract
La invención se refiere a un absorbente para la remoción selectiva de sulfuro de hidrógeno de una corriente de fluido, que contiene una solución acuosa que comprende a) una amina terciaria; b) un promotor amínico del pH seleccionado de los compuestos mencionados en la descripción; en donde la relación molar de b) a a) está en el intervalo de 0,05 a 1,0; y c) un ácido que tiene un PKA de menos de 6 en tal cantidad que el pH de la solución acuosa a 120 °C sea de 7,9 a menos de 8,8 cuando se mide a 120 °C. Además, la invención se refiere a un método para remover gases ácidos de una corriente de fluido, en donde la corriente de fluido se pone en contacto con el absorbente. El absorbente se caracteriza por una baja energía de regeneración.
