Abstract

The present disclosure is related to a thermal and acoustic insulating material, based on high density closed pore polyurethane and industrial waste. Consists of a polyurethane matrix and fly ash cenospheres as reinforcement material, improving thermal and acoustic insulation for construction elements for buildings or houses. It is made by means of the prepolymer method, in the presence of a catalyst, blowing agents and other additives. Has a thermal conductivity of 0.0354 W/mK with an average temperature of 24°C, with a density of 132 Kg/m3 and a percentage of gaseous composition of 18.22%. Contains a normalized sound absorption coefficient of 0.26 at frequencies of 500-600 Hz. Can be poured into any type of mold without limiting its shape, it can be directly projected or applied without being limited in any way.
