Abstract
Se divulga un método para controlar de manera adaptativa un sistema de motor 10 de un vehículo de motor 5 que comprende los pasos de evaluar los resultados de sensores de posición angular 17, 18 asociados con árboles de levas de entrada y de escape 13, 14 de un motor 15 de un sistema de motor 10 para establecer si las diferencias entre las posiciones medidas actualmente y las posiciones guardadas previamente son el resultado del alargamiento de una transmisión continua 26 usada para impulsar los árboles de levas 13, 14 o si se deben a alguna otra razón. Si se confirma que las diferencias se deben al alargamiento de la transmisión continua 26 entonces los valores medidos de la posición angular se usan para el control de una cantidad de funciones del motor.
