Abstract
Se describe un método y sistema para mejorar las propiedades de amortiguación de vibración en un producto de metal. El producto incorpora un material de amortiguación en capas, amortiguado por fricción seca que tiene incorporado una o más capas de malla tejida compuestas de cuerdas de alambre de alambres atados. Las cuerdas pueden estar recubiertas con una capa fina de metal. Las cuerdas individuales están tejidas para formar una capa de malla donde algunas cuerdas se colocan en una primera dirección o dirección Y y las otras cuerdas se colocan en una segunda dirección o dirección X. Una o más capas de mallas están unidas a un sustrato de metal mediante enrollado, moldeado o extrusión. Los parámetros del proceso de enrollado, modelado o extrusión se pueden optimizar para lograr la incorporación adecuada de las cuerdas en la placa metálica donde las cuerdas están bloqueadas en la placa de metal con el material de metal fluyendo sobre las superficies exteriores del cable sin infiltración entre los cables individuales.
