Abstract

Se proporciona un sistema y método para orientar una pieza de trabajo sobre una línea de ensamble para preparar la pieza de trabajo para una operación. El calibrador determina una diferencia entre la primera orientación detectada de la pieza de trabajo y una orientación de accesorio predeterminada y transmite instrucciones desde el calibrador hacia el accesorio flexible para mover la pieza de trabajo desde la primera orientación detectada hacia la orientación de accesorio predeterminada. La pieza de trabajo se mueve con el por lo menos un componente ajustable en la orientación de accesorio predeterminada y se retiene fijamente con el componente ajustable.
