Abstract
Se proporciona un sistema y método para orientar una pieza de trabajo sobre una línea de ensamble para preparar la pieza de trabajo para una operación. El método incluye colocar un accesorio flexible sobre la línea de ensamble. El accesorio flexible tiene una base y al menos un componente ajustable. La pieza de trabajo está colocada sobre el accesorio flexible. Se detecta una primera orientación de la pieza de trabajo con relación al accesorio flexible con un dispositivo de detección y se transmite a un calibrador. El calibrador determina una diferencia entre la primera orientación detectada de la pieza de trabajo y una orientación de accesorio predeterminada y transmite instrucciones desde el calibrador hacia el accesorio flexible para mover la pieza de trabajo desde la primera orientación detectada hacia la orientación de accesorio predeterminada. La pieza de trabajo se mueve con el por lo menos un componente ajustable en la orientación de accesorio predeterminada y se retiene fijamente con el componente ajustable.
