Abstract

Una composición de revestimiento intumescente que comprende un aglutinante de resina epoxi, un diluyente reactivo epoxi, un agente de curado y un catalizador ácido, en donde el agente de curado está comprendido de una mezcla de poliamida, polieteramina y un monómero funcional de amina y en donde el catalizador ácido es efectivo para formar un ácido fosfórico en descomposición térmica y en donde la composición de revestimiento tiene una viscosidad de entre 20,000 y 140,000 mPa/s a 20°C y tasa de corte de 1.5 s-1. La invención también se extiende a un sustrato revestido, revestido en al menos una porción del mismo con dicha composición de revestimiento intumescente.
