Abstract
Un método para configurar un sistema óptico con el fin de reducir las variaciones en las propiedades medidas de un analito incluye seleccionar un número de haces en los cuales se va a dividir la radiación desde una fuente de radiación, en donde, después de que el analito es irradiado por el número de haces desde una pluralidad de direcciones, una variación de una medición resultante del analito está en o por debajo de un umbral. El método incluye además alinear la fuente de radiación y una pluralidad de elementos ópticos que están ópticamente acoplados a la fuente de radiación, de tal manera que el número de haces seleccionados irradian el analito cuando la radiación es emitida por la fuente de radiación.
