Abstract
Una transmisión automotriz comprende primeros y segundos engranajes, engranajes planetarios y un engranaje anular. El primer engranaje puede girar alrededor de un primer eje. Las barras pueden deslizarse de forma radial sobre el primer engranaje y extenderse de forma axialmente paralela al primer eje. El segundo engranaje puede girar alrededor de un segundo eje. El segundo eje es paralelo al primer eje y se encuentra a un desfasaje fijo de este. Cada uno de los engranajes planetarios se monta sobre un eje respectivo y gira alrededor de este. Los engranajes planetarios engranan con el segundo engranaje. El engranaje anular es coaxial con respecto al segundo engranaje y posee dientes que engranan de manera selectiva con una cantidad menor que la totalidad de los engranajes planetarios al mismo tiempo. Los dientes pueden ajustarse para cambiar una distancia desde el eje hasta los dientes para establecer, de forma variable, una relación de engranajes entre el primer y segundo engranaje.
