Abstract

Un electrodo electroquirúrgico que comprende un cuerpo alargado que tiene un área en sección transversal y bordes laterales longitudinales que forman bordes de corte longitudinales para efectuar una disección electroquirúrgica a lo largo de un plano; el cuerpo tiene una configuración, en donde: el grosor del borde lateral es menor o igual que 0.254 mm (0.01´´), y forma solo un borde de corte, y la relación entre el área en sección transversal y el número de bordes de corte es menor o igual que 0.00097 cm2 (0.000150 pulgadas2) por borde de corte; o el grosor de un primer borde lateral es mayor que 0.254 mm (0.01´´) y el grosor de un segundo borde lateral es menor o igual que 0.254 mm (0.01´´), y la relación entre el área en sección transversal y el número de bordes de corte es menor o igual que 0.006 cm2 (0.001 pulgadas2) por borde de corte.
