Abstract

Se describe un proceso para producir ácido acético en el cual se agrega un compuesto de litio al medio de reacción para mantener una concentración de acetato de litio de 0.3 a 0.7% en peso. La concentración del catalizador de rodio se mantiene de 300 a 3000 ppm en peso en el medio de reacción, la concentración de agua se mantiene de 0.1 a 4.1% en peso en el medio de reacción, y la concentración de acetato de metilo se mantiene de de 0.6 a 4.1% en peso en el medio de reacción.
