Abstract
Está prevista para proporcionar un método capaz de suprimir la corrosión del aparato de destilación como método para producir ácido acético, que comprende la etapa de destilar una solución de ácido acético crudo que contiene ácido acético y una impureza que tiene un punto de ebullición más alto que el del ácido acético para purificar el ácido acético; el método para producir ácido acético de la presente invención comprende la etapa descrita anteriormente, en la que la destilación de la solución de ácido acético crudo se realiza bajo una condición que implica una temperatura del fondo de la columna de destilación de no más de 165°C; una concentración de ácido acético en la solución de ácido acético crudo a someter a la destilación es preferiblemente no inferior al 90% en masa; los ejemplos de impurezas que tienen un punto de ebullición más alto que el del ácido acético incluyen acetatos, anhídrido acético y ácido propiónico; la presión del fondo de columna de la columna de destilación es preferiblemente menor que 0.255 MPaG.
