Abstract

Un codificador de audio para codificar una senal de audio, comprende: un primer procesador de codificacion (600) para codificar una primera porcion de senal de audio en un dominio de frecuencia, en donde el primer procesador de codificacion (600) comprende: un conversor de frecuencia y de tiempo para convertir la primera porcion de senal de audio en una representacion de un dominio de frecuencia que tiene lineas espectrales hasta una frecuencia maxima de la primera porcion de senal de audio; un codificador espectral para codificar la representacion del dominio de frecuencia; un segundo procesador de codificacion para codificar una segunda porcion de senal de audio diferente en el dominio de tiempo; un procesador cruzado (700) para calcular, a partir de la representacion espectral codificada de la primera porcion de senal de audio, datos de inicializacion del segundo procesador de codificacion (610), de modo que el segundo procesamiento de codificacion (610) se inicializa para codificar la segunda porcion de senal de audio inmediatamente despues de la primera porcion de senal de audio en time en la senal de audio; un controlador configurado para analizar la senal de audio y para determinar que porcion de la senal de audio es la primera porcion de senal de audio codificada en el dominio de frecuencia y que porcion de la senal de audio es la segunda porcion de senal de audio codificada en el dominio de tiempo; y un formador de senales codificadas para formar una senal de audio codificada que comprende una primera porcion de senales codificadas para la primera porcion de senal de audio y una segunda porcion de senales codificadas para la segunda porcion de senales de audio.
