Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para romper el material de biomasa suspendido que comprende los pasos de: proporcionar una suspensión del material de biomasa en un primer recipiente (1), dicha suspensión que tiene un peso seco de células que está comprendido entre 0.1% y 15% (peso/peso); presurizar dicha suspensión a una primera presión (p1) que está comprendida entre 7500 kPa y 450000 kPa utilizando una primera bomba (10) de alta presión; proporcionar un agente de rotura gaseoso presurizado y/o un agente de rotura líquido presurizado en un segundo recipiente (2); presurizar dicho agente de rotura gaseoso y/o líquido a una segunda presión (p2) que está comprendida entre 7500 kPa y 450000 kPa utilizando una segunda bomba (20) de alta presión, dicha segunda presión (p2) que es mayor que dicha primera presión (p1); inyectar una corriente de dicho agente de rotura presurizado en una corriente de dicha suspensión presurizada del material de biomasa y formar una microemulsión; hacer pasar dicha microemulsión secuencialmente a través de un sistema (11) de agitación hidrodinámica y una válvula (13) de alivio; también se proporciona un aparato (y la pila de sistemas (paralelos)) para romper el material de biomasa suspendido.
