Abstract

Un compacto sinterizado de conformidad con la presente invención incluye: un primer material que es un nitruro de boro cúbico; un segundo material que es un óxido de circonio; y un tercer material que es óxido de aluminio, el segundo material que incluye ZrO2 cúbico y ZrO, el tercer material que incluye a-Al2O3, y el compacto sinterizado que satisface la siguiente relación: 0.9= Izro2(110)/Ia1(110)=30; y 0.3=Izro(111) /Ia1(110)=3, en donde Ia1(110), Izro2(111), e Izro(111) representan respectivamente intensidades de difracción de rayos X de un (110) plano del a-Al2O3, un (111) plano del ZrO2 cúbico y un (111) plano del ZrO.
