Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos y aparatos para identificar automáticamente las condiciones de inventario perpetuo excesivo (PI) con respecto al nivel de inventario de un artículo en un espacio comercial. Por ejemplo, en algunas modalidades, un método realizado por un circuito de control comprende determinar (504) que, una pluralidad de veces, un artículo para venta en una tienda comercial vende dentro de una tolerancia definida de un valor de cantidad de inventario diferente de cero y después deja de vender por un período de tiempo; y hacer (506) una determinación de que existe una condición de PI excesivo con respecto a un nivel de inventario del artículo en la tienda comercial. En algunas modalidades, la condición de PI excesivo se cuantifica automáticamente y puede corregirse automáticamente.
