Abstract
Se proporciona un sellador para sellar una punción a través del tejido que comprende una primera sección alargada que incluye un extremo próximo, un extremo distal, y una sección transversal dimensionada para el suministro en una punción a través de tejido, y una segunda sección que se extiende desde el extremo distal de la primera sección. La primera sección se puede formar de un hidrogel secado por congelación que se expande cuando se expone al fluido fisiológico dentro de una punción. La primera sección comprende quitosan y al menos un polímero adicional. La segunda sección se puede formar de una masa sólida de precursores de hidrogel no reticulados, no secados por congelación.
